Bylaws & Constitution
Article I: Introduction
Section A.) As we set forth in the Articles of Incorporation, this Body shall be known as Bridge Church Nashville Inc. of Nashville, Georgia. P.O. Box 1043 Nashville, Georgia, 31639. Established and incorporated in the State of Georgia on April 6th, 2011.
Section B.) Whenever it is desirable to abbreviate the name of this organization, the name The Bridge Church shall be considered in every way the legal name of the church corporation.
Section C.) Whenever the word “church” is used in these Bylaws or their amendments or other official action of the church corporation, it shall signify the legal organization of this church as established in the Articles of Incorporation and herein. References to votes of the church shall have reference to a vote of the members of this church corporation.
Article II: Mission Statement:
The Bridge Church exists to see those far from God come to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, to equip believers to grow to co-laborers in the gospel, and to impact generations as we go the nations all in His Name and for His glory!
Article III: Statement of Faith:
We believe Jesus Christ to be the Son of God, our Savior and Lord, through whom we receive salvation. We affirm the Holy Bible as the inspired, infallible, inerrant, Word of God and the basis of our beliefs. We subscribe to the doctrinal statement of “The Baptist Faith and Message” as adopted by the Southern Baptist Convention in 1963 and the revision of 2002.
Article IV: Government and Affiliation:
The Bridge Church is to be recognized as a Jesus ruled, elder led, deacon supported, and congregational accountable church in accordance with the principles of the New Testament. The operation and management of the affairs of this corporation, spiritual and temporal, shall be vested in the membership of the corporation, which authority shall be exercised in the manner set forth in the bylaws. This is a sovereign and autonomous church operating under the Lordship of Jesus Christ. It is subject to no other ecclesiastical body, but it recognizes and sustains the importance of mutual counsel and cooperation among other church of like faith.
